New Google Chrome Update Will let you Select Custom Folder for Downloads

To stay afloat in the mobile browser industry, Google has been working on new features for Chrome, which includes: the ability to export saved passwords, HDR support, and the latest in line is the option to select custom download folders.

Again, this might not be a groundbreaking feature, but it'll, at least, ease the pain and stress of users having to stuff and move files in the default download folder to other locations, especially when using phones with low memory specs.

Sooner than later, you'll bid goodbye to have all your downloads jam-packed in a folder, mine which seems to be download folder in phone memory, because once this feature is released, you'll be able to assign a custom folder for saving everything you download through Google Chrome browser. This is not only limited to your Android device's inbuilt storage, as directories can also be chosen from your SD card, provided your phone supports that.

According to an unearthed commit in the Chromium Gerrit, works on this feature is currently in progress, but will hopefully roll-out to the public in the next Chrome update.
