Free Basics is a service from Facebook that lets you visit websites on your phone for free, even with zero balance, it has saved many people [like me], especially those who find it difficult to afford a data subscription.
As usual, this service is supported only by Airtel and 9mobile, although, we’re still praying they partner with other telecom network providers in the near future.

How to Download Videos Uploaded to Facebook Via Free Basics
1. Download this Outdated Opera Mini – CLICK HERE
2. Launch the browser and navigate to free Facebook.
3. Input your email/Phone and password to log in to free Facebook.
4. If you have any video in mind to download earlier on or you meet one while checking your timeline, follow the below steps
5. Simply tap on the video and wait some minutes for it to load,
6. A pop-up will come up asking you where you want to save the video.
7. Select the directory and click download
8. Watch your video being downloaded and saved to your gallery.
N.B 1: We all know that Airtel free mode is capped at 20mb daily while 9mobile is still unlimited for now, I suggest you use 9mobile for a better downloading experience. If you exhaust your capped data on Airtel via downloading; you might not be able to login to Facebook till the next day or when you purchase a data plan.
N.B 2: Don’t try this on the latest Opera browser as it won’t be successful [Redirect you to use data] but the only way it would be successful is when you have an active data subscription on your SIM.
