Fast Startup is a feature on Windows 10 that’s designed to reduce the boot time of your computer. However, you might not notice a delay in booting if you’ve just got a new PC or if you don’t have many applications installed on your computer.
But over time you might start experiencing slower boot times on your Windows 10 powered computer and that’s where the “fast startup” option will come in; to help you speed up the boot time, making the desktop load faster than the traditional process.
So, if your Windows 10 computer is taking much time to boot to the home page then here is a step-by-step guide on how to enable fast startup on it.
How to Activate Fast Startup in Windows 10
1. Navigate to the “Settings” app on your Windows 10 pc and click on “Power & Sleep” settings.
2. Now, under the “Related Settings” tab at the right-side pane locate the “Additional Power Settings” option.
3. Next, select the “Choose what the power button does” option from the options on the left-hand side.
4. After that, click the “change settings that are currently unavailable” option so that you can have access to edit the “Shutdown Settings”
5. Under the shutdown settings section, Tick the “Turn on the Fast startup” option.
That’s all.
You’ll now notice faster boot time compared to earlier times the next time you turn on your PC only if you have followed the above steps and tuned on fast startup successfully.
