Windows 11 is here, and if you’re currently using Windows 10, you’ll be able to upgrade to Microsoft’s newly updated OS for free.
Although this post is focused on knowing if your Windows 10 pc can run the new Windows 11 we’ll also share a download link to enable the interested person to try the update.
This is possible by a handy tool provided by Microsoft named the “PC Health Check” app which does several things including telling you if your PC meets the system requirements to run Windows 11.
You can also check these requirements on Microsoft’s website.
How to Check if your Windows 10 PC is Compatible with Windows 11
Download the “PC Health Check” app
Open the downloaded app and accept the terms in the license agreement to Install it.
Now, tick the “Open Windows PC Health Check” box and then “Finish”
Navigate to the Windows 11 section at the top of the app and select the “Check Now” button
A window will open with either the “This PC can run Windows 11” or “This PC can’t run Windows 11” notification.
You can proceed to click on “Learn More” to open a webpage with more information about the system requirements.
That’s it.
If you’re getting the “This PC can’t run Windows 11” error then it should be as a result of the SECURE BOOT or Trusted Platform Module(TPM). These are the key security features that might cause the health app to see your PC as insecure, and therefore, not compatible with Windows 11.
