NCC Orders Network Providers to Roll-Over Unused Data to Next Subscription - Read Details

 This is good news to those who hardly finish their data bundle before it got expired or for those two subscribe to multiple data bundles before the previous one got expired.

ncc data rollover policy

NCC has decided to implement its 2018 rollover policy which it urged all telecom providers to implement Data Roll-Over Policy.

This policy comes in handy if you're scared of losing your unused data bundle before the expiration date, you can now confidently subscribe anytime you like and your remaining data will be added to whatever new bundle you subscribe to.

This policy is been implemented so that Nigerians can get the best out of their data plans, regardless of the data plan subscribed to.

According to NCC,

Unused data by telecom subscribers must be rolled over in subsequent subscriptions

This was disclosed in a signed statement by agency's spokesman, Ikechukwu Adinde, on Thursday;

Also stating that "the commission and telecom service providers will hold follow-up discussions on the fair usage policy on unlimited data bundles/data rollover."

The commission hereby wishes to restate that its direction of June 2018 to service providers to commence implementation of data rollover from 26 June 2018, remains in force,” it said.

it also said that;

“In other words, a subscriber’s unused data must be rolled over to his/her subsequent data subscription. Therefore, the commission urges service providers to continue to inform and educate subscribers on the procedures and processes for data rollover,”

The NCC in conjunction with the telecom providers also agreed to revisit and comply with the compensation policy at all times.
